Following the successful launch of the TREE token, the Gaia Foundation proposes to formally establish the Treehouse DAO and its governance framework, with TREE serving as the primary medium for governance rights.
This genesis proposal outlines the shared vision and guiding values of the Gaia Foundation, defines the governance framework, and specifies the roles of key governing bodies. It also designates Treehouse’s official communication channels and sets forth the administrative and logistical procedures for governance, including voting procedures, proposal standards, and community participation.
Together, these measures aim to lay the foundation for the DAO’s initial operations, empowering the community to collectively guide protocol development, ecosystem growth, and treasury management.

Treehouse Improvement Proposals (TIPs) Governance Process
1. Discussion Phase
A community member initiates a discussion on the Governance Forum. Members provide feedback, refine ideas, and improve proposals before moving to a formal vote.
2. Proposal Phase
After at least 24 hours of open discussion, a DAO Administrator may escalate the proposal to Snapshot. Link: https://snapshot.box/#/s:treehousefi.eth
3. Voting Phase
Voting opens 24 hours after proposal creation and remains active for 72 hours. Voting power is determined by governance-power-bearing assets held at the time of proposal creation. Assets acquired after creation will not count toward voting power.
4. Outcome
A proposal passes if it achieves a simple majority (>50% of votes cast). Otherwise, the proposal is rejected.
5. Execution
Once passed, Treehouse Labs will implement the approved proposal in alignment with the community’s decision.
Next Steps
We invite the community to provide feedback on this proposal. Once finalized, the proposal will move to the official Snapshot voting stage.
